Lucid05.08.10

Late night last night. But man. We are starting to get some of the weird fever dream type sounds we have been hoping for. Last night involved our xiosynth through a Harden Swaami (Fuzz/tremolo) into a Silvertone organ amp.

We are halfway through day 4 in the studio and 3 kick drums, a dozen or so pedals, 5 or 6 amps, and 5 or 6 guitars later, we have all the basic tracking for the full band songs finished! Joey is in the main room working out an ambient fever dream ballad at the moment. Things are sounding awfully lovely.

The Studio Draws Nigh.04.29.10

We are headed into the studio May 3rd to record our new album!
TJ Lipple (The fellow who mixed the last one) will be tracking, mixing and mastering. We will also be recording a few days with Ric Hordinski, who owns the beautiful studio where we will be tracking. One of those days involves string arrangements! Yes. A dream come true for me. Nothing crazy mind you, just some tasteful delights.

Also MAY 5TH – We are going to do a web chat from the studio to answer just about any questions you may have about anything!

We are touring in March with our buds in Jookabox and in April with our buds in Aloha. Excitement is filling our air. See the shows page for details!

Also- March 5th is the release show for the vinyl edition of our first album ‘Everything is Alive’! Our friends in Wise Blood and The Chocolate Horse will be playing. The show is at the Southgate House and is ALL AGES!
